I think it takes the best of the AdG DNA and really makes it something I hesitantly call magical.
It sits right on the fence of uniqueness between crowd-pleasing and unique as to not offend but not fade into the ether or just another release. It was really trying to do it's own thing by combining a traditional "blue" fragrance with the novel cypress "green". I can only detect rosemary, cypress, and the marine notes. This is definitely one of the best of recent designer releases.

And I do not get them on skin! And the fragrance was a skin scent in 1 hour and totally gone after 7 hours. The pleasant green notes passed after half an hour to leave behind a faint synthetic jasmine(?) flower smell? Notice that the notes I loved are the same ones YouTube reviews are fawning over. Update: a few weeks after my original review testing this on paper I decided to test it on skin today. I tried it from a third bottle which matched my initial experience.

Update 2: the bad experience I had in my last review must have been from a bad bottle. If you receive this as a gift enjoy as a safe and pleasant wear. Otherwise I would just ante up for something with some pizazz. Dylan Blue would be more interesting and generally less expensive. There is just better options for cheaper i.e. Nothing wrong with this as an office scent, which is not a ringing endorsement because it isn't. As it dries down the musk tames the patch which again comes across as non-descript and sadly, boring, compared to the original or Profumo. From there the middle is lavender smooth which comes across as tame and smooth and softens any woodiness. The green mandarin smooths out the bergamot at the top and the marine notes are certainly nice but not enticingly so. However that is the same description I give to Nautica Voyage so not elite company. Don't get me wrong, Profundo is pleasant, inoffensive, and office safe. Profundo is perplexing to me because it comes across as smoother, lighter, and unfortunately.kind of bland. That one is bottle worthy and a personal favorite. As someone that wasn't overexposed to the OG in the 90s I've always liked AdG but am head over heels in love with Profumo.
